Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a heartfelt and enthusiastic welcome from the Indian diaspora during his ongoing visit to the United Kingdom, with many calling the experience “surreal” and “emotionally overwhelming.”
Members of the diaspora expressed their admiration and pride after meeting the Prime Minister. Gehna Gautam shared her excitement, saying, “I just met the PM. He walked past us. It was a surreal moment. I got to shake his hand. He is so dynamic. The energy here is on another level.”
Sanjay, another attendee, said, “I am very happy to meet PM Modi. He has come here for a very important mission. We wish him and Bharat the best. He’s doing a great job.”
Bhavya recalled his encounter fondly: “The Prime Minister shook my hand and gave me Ashirwad. It was the best feeling ever.”
Shivani described her moment with the Prime Minister as deeply moving: “We shook hands twice and he blessed me. We are truly blessed to have him here. This is a very special day for us.”
Shreya Pareek, who traveled specifically to see the Prime Minister, praised his leadership. “I’m glad I had the chance to meet PM Modi. I want to congratulate him for Operation Sindoor and all the work he’s doing for India,” she said.
PM Modi’s visit to London is part of the first leg of his two-nation tour. The visit is expected to bolster India-UK ties, with both nations working toward a Free Trade Agreement and deeper collaboration across sectors.
